alpaca- sari silk- tencel- wensleydale locks

My textured art yarns are truly unique and individual. I absolutely love buy spinning these and watching them literally pop into life on my wheel. No two are ever exactly alike!

This listing is for the yarn pictured and spun as follows:

Hand spun textured art yarn was made from alpaca that was hand dyed into the colors of Fall combined with wensleydale locks that were also the colors of Fall along with assorted sari silk threads in similar colors. These were spun into a single and were then plyed with a rasberry tencel thread with a sage green tencel thread autowrapping at the same time. This was then plyed a third time with the rasberry tencel thread.

What can you do with textured yarn?? Anything you want!
You can knit a hat, you can use it as an embellishment to something you are knitting, weaving or crocheting and in mixed media arts and crafts. You can weave it into a wall art hanging or textile arts. You can knit a pillow front. You can use it as doll hair. You can get yourself some size 50 Jumbo needles and knit a OOAK scarf.
You can be as creative as you want to be because there are no rules……….

All my textured yarns are hand spun by me using a variety of techniques - thick and thin, corespun, knop, autowrapped, coils, lock spun, boucle.......

I LOVE spinning textured yarn. There really are no rules, you just simply spin and let your creativity flow. I enjoy trying new and varying techniques while utilizing quality fibers and threads.

All hand dyed fibers were left in the dye pots until all dye was exhausted, they were then washed and rinsed again. As with any dyed product, care should be taken when washing. Wash finished products in cold water.

All products are made and stored in my smoke free, pet free home.

Thank you for looking!
