Raku is a Japanese technique that uses all the elements of nature: earth, air, fire, and water.
The object is modeled by hand with a semi-refractory white clay that resists temperate changes at 1000°Celsius (1800°Fharenhait).

The Raku firing makes unique and I am never sure exactly how they are going to come out.
