Buy Antique book of children's fables, poems, and rhymes written in both English and Chinese with scores of photographs of Chinese children

A fascinating, semi-alternative version of the Moyther Goose rhymes that many American children heard as they were growing up. This version of the book includes a bilingual text and photographs of Chinese children (and a few adults) acting out the rhymes. As an American, I found myself puzzled by the relationship between the photos and the texts and now found myself wanting to learn more about childhood in the generation before the Chinese Revolution.

I also found myself repeatedly startled by what seemed to me quite hostile relationships among family members.

The pages have come loose buy fro the cover but are in generally good overall shape. There's a card included from a descendant of the original owner's family.
