Recently I was fortunate enough to come across a number of beautiful pillow cases and will be putting them on my site in the near future.

My mother and grandmother sewed and embroidered decades ago and I know that that type of handwork takes quite a bit of time to do. People just do not do this hand work anymore and it is difficult to find pillow cases this beautiful and in such great condition.

These vintage pillow cases are from an era when people did this detailed type of work and life was a lot slower and not so hectic. The pillow cases are adorned with lovely little butterflies floating over a floral basket. Floral baskets is a theme used from the '60s when making jewelry, pillow cases and other items. Beautiful colors in the butterflies, basket and flowers and are all hand embroidered.

The measurement of the pillow case is approximately 20" across x 29" long. There is some light yellowing near one of the butterflies which I nearly missed on the pillow cases. It should come out with a wash especially if using a good detergent with some whitening in it. I use Restoration for vintage linens to remove yellowing and other imperfections. I did not do it on these since they had already been pressed by the former owner. It was too light to photograph although I tried.

These vintage heirloom embroidered pillow cases would make a guest room look beautiful, be lovely in one's daughter's or granddaughter's bedroom, be perfect as a wedding present for a bride who loves vintage linens, a housewarming gift or create a shabby chic look to a bedroom.

When buying vintage clothes on line, one must own a tape measure & measure a similar garment to see if the new garment falls within the measurements that are given in the description. You cannot look at the measurements & think that those are your own measurements & that it will fit. All garments need to be a few inches larger than one's own body measurements for a good fit. You are responsible for checking the measurements to see if this will fit you.

We examine each item carefully and note any imperfections, but unless an item is said to be new, please don't expect it to be perfect & even some new items have small imperfections. I will always state in the description if there are any imperfections & I never do repairs but leave them to others who are better able to do them than me as that is not my expertise.

All items are pre-owned by someone unless otherwise stated as new old stock in perfect condition which items rarely are and may have some signs of wear which is understandable. I always note any major obvious imperfections although a small one may slip through without my noticing it and if I miss it, it must be very small.

All items are wrapped with acid-free tissue. No item will ever be sent wrinkled beyond belief in an old plastic grocery bag inside of an old reused marked up envelope as has happened to me by some sellers. I think too much of my customers & my products to do that to anyone.

I do not accept cancellations, exchanges or returns so make your selection carefully.

All vintage items are just that vintage & not new straight from the mall– and may buy show some imperfections, wear and use because of the age. I try to list any imperfection but a small one could slip by unintentionally. All sales are final.

Items are shipped parcel post, priority or first class depending on the weight, destination & what the item is at seller's discretion. International orders cannot be returned or refunded to credit card or any other manner so chose your item carefully & check the measurements thoroughly.
Shipping charges do not include insurance & I strongly recommend purchasing insurance for all items. Contact me before buying & I can add the insurance charge onto your invoice.

The items are sold as we find them. We do not dry clean, launder, alter or repair vintage clothing and they should be cleaned or washed upon arrival.
