Our shop offers two ways to display characters:
*free standing figures (often with bases)
*hanging ornaments (with wire loops and hooks - some ornaments can stand as figures too)
*Some listings provide an option for you to choose and other listings are sold as is. Please reference the title and photos in the listing. If you have a preference and the option is not given, please contact us with your request and we will do our best to accommodate.

• SIZE: Our creations vary in size. Most are buy between 2"-7" tall. (Please see photos for reference.) If you would like to know the exact measurements of this item please don't hesitate to contact us.

ABOUT OUR CRAFT:
Every whimsical character is handmade in upstate New York using the lost art of spun cotton, a century old craft inspired by the techniques used by cottage artisans who made holiday ornaments in Victorian era Germany. Each piece is made using cotton, cotton batting, a wire framed armature, and various types of paints and washes. Many of these adorable treasures are outfitted in crepe paper clothing, and accessorized with a variety of new, vintage, and found materials, including Dresden scraps, ribbons and trims, antique Czech glass beads, vintage paper, glitter, and many other materials. All people characters have paper scrap faces that originate from images from Victorian postcards. Most animal figures/ornaments have hand painted details and are bendable.
