Wood Box Kitchen Organizer Vintage buy Yardsticks Mason Jar Holder Leather Horse Strap Organizer Rustic
Wood box or crate caddy for organizing your salt/pepper and napkins flatware or flowers It.
Wood box or crate caddy for organizing your salt/pepper and napkins, flatware buy or flowers. It would also make an adorable planter or desk caddy.
This measures 11 1/4" long x 5 1/2" wide x 3 1/2" tall.
I made the box from scrap pine and painted it with Map White latex paint. It is nailed together.
The handle is from an old leather horse rigging. The rivets on the leather has the ever popular patina on them. I screwed the handle to the box to make sure it held secure. I coated all the handle with Mink oil. The leather origination will vary with each box.
I used three vintage yardsticks to cover the sides. One of the yard sticks had metal end covers so I made sure to include those ends. One of the yard sticks has my home town name on it, Nevada, Missouri. Yard sticks descriptions will vary with each box.
I coated the entire box with polyurethane so the wording on the yardsticks would not wear off. I attached the flowers to each side to soften the look. The flower color and type will vary with each box. They can be removed it you prefer or changed to your preference.
This would make an adorable planter or for fresh flowers in a small jar on each side. Also as a centerpiece on your table. A standard quart size mason jar fits nicely into each cubby. It is sure to compliment your country or farmhouse decor.
