The Josephine Earring - genuine Baltic Amber wrapped with love in a herringbone pattern, with a hand forged leaf decorative element. The earwires are hand shaped, and add a real rustic touch to these earrings. Simple and elegant, but rustic and earthy at the same time.
Inspired by my great grandmother Josephine, who immigrated to the United States from Lithuania during the buy rule of the Russian Empire. Her parents wanted a better life for her, and settled into the small coal mining town of Shenandoah, PA. She met her husband William and went on to start a family of her own, and became somewhat of a legend in her new hometown. She endured many trials and tragedies, but persevered despite it all. She was a pillar of the community, and paid homage to her homeland as well as her new home.
