Cloisonne is an ancient metalwork technique that makes use of small, precious metal filaments and colorful glass enamels to create brilliant artwork. The metal wires are bent into shapes to create small cells, (partitions) of designs. Coats of finely ground glass enamel are fired into them until one unique piece of art is rendered.

2- Preparing the enameling metal (copper) which includes cutting, smoothing the surface of copper with sandpaper, degreasing, engraving the surface of metal, etching and so forth.
3- Enameling the metal regarding the type of artwork includes various techniques:
A- The enamel is being installed on the metal directly.
B- The background metal is engraved or etched and then the enamel is being installed on it.
C- In a few stages the enamel is being installed on the metal flaky.
D- In combination, two or many various techniques are used In enameling.
4- Depending on the method and the type of enameling, the enameled metal is used in various temperatures in the oven (700º to 900º).
5- The fired artwork in the oven is then deoxidized and it is finished.
