Buy Watch Stand, Watch Holder, Watch Display, Watch Display Stand - Granadillo

DESCRIPTION - This listing is for a platform watch display which I made from Granadillo which is also known as Mexican Rosewood. The display stand accommodates 2 watches, each of which can be positioned to face in the direction of your choosing. I employed a random faceted shape for the base which is both contemporary and MCM at the same time. The display is designed such that watches are to be displayed with their strap closed, as worn on the wrist, and angled such that viewing of the face is optimized.

Watch Display Holder:

These are the finest prefabricated watch display holders that I could find. Far superior to the ubiquitous cheap clear plastic versions which are hard, brittle, have sharp edges which strain, cut and wear watch bands. Features include:

•Rubber coated spring steel. The rubber provides protection for bands and clasps unlike hard plastic/acrylic.
•A pair of finger tabs assist with mounting and dismounting watches. This is a much simpler and safer system when compared to mounts not outfitted with
pinch tabs.
•The opening on these holders is positioned such that the watch case back sits over the opening where little contact with the rear of the actual watch case
will occur.
•Each holder fits into a metal socket allowing for removal as well as rotational positioning.

Mounting and dismounting your watch on to the holder:
1) Remove the holder from the base.
2) Pinch the two finger tabs, collapsing the ring enough to mount the watch onto the holder, release the tabs.
3) Reinstall back onto the base stand.

Holders are available in two sizes, Small/Medium (S/M) & Large (L). S/M will accommodate watches fitted to 6 5/8" - 7.75" wrists, while L accommodates watches fitted for wrists ranging from 7.25" - 8.5" NOTE: if your wrist is 7.5" I would go with a S/M. Measure wrist with a cloth tailors tape fitted comfortably to your wrist. Or cut a 3/4" wide strip of paper by 10" long - wrap around your wrist, mark where the end of the paper strip reaches on the strip. remove and measure to mark. PLEASE - be sure to select which size(s) mount you prefer (S/M or L). If purchasing more than one unit you may mix-n-match sizes as well, let me know if you do not want them all to be the same size via a note or convo.


MATERIAL - The wood is Mexican Rosewood or Granadillo. This species offers a variety of grain patterns and intermixed colors within the same board. This piece features gold toned wood mixed with dark brown to near black, with some nice regions exhibiting chatoyancy. There are This species is tricky to finish, oil finishes tend to blunt, and muddy the presentation of the grain that is why I used lacquer with a semi gloss sheen as the finish. Granadillo is a porous wood, I have not filled the grain opting to keep the wood as closer to it's natural presentation.

DIMENSIONS - The footprint is: 8.25" x 5" buy, standing 4.5" tall with a large holder installed.
