The oil is contained in a metal container surrounded by olive wood. With the rubber gasket it is sure not to leak and bring many years of use. With no glass insert nothing more is needed but to unscrew the lid and apply the oil then screw back on.

The Pen is a black Twist Pen with Olive Wood from Bethlehem Israel from the same piece of wood as the oil vial. The pen takes a Parker style refill available from most office supply stores. It writes and feels great. It is neat to know that both are from the same blank of wood and with the oil and wood being the birth place of Jesus Christ, this set makes it even more special.

This oil vial measures a little more than 2 inches long with the 1 inch key ring and a little less than 1/2 inch in diameter. It really fits really nice on a key chain.
