Here, the season of umbrellas and parasols never seems to stop, exactly for the reason that these items are meant to be both umbrellas (used in every season against rain, plus in winter against snowfall) and parasols (to protect you from excessive sunlight).....Also, we shouldn't forget the cosplay-historical-carneval-estethical reasons....:)
This is an extraordinary, simple but unique, light and practical, ladies' umbrella in colour bordeaux, what inspired me at the first place.
Its handle was already the colour of old gold and I saw beige as a match to combine the divine wine colour with. I did it with assymetrical beige lace, sewing it onto the umbrella and intersecting it with bordeaux lace. It gave a rich, yet not overdone effect. The buy top of the umbrella, as you can see on photos, is a beige bow with three pearl-like beads. Yes, also these gentle pearly beads are scattered & sewn mostly onto the lace part and they do play their role.
The handle Is wrapped and sewn into a bordeaux organza and a handsewn bordeaux velvet purse accompanies the umbrella/parasol.
As my previous models of the same nature, I intended this item as well for people searching for unique accessories, with a deep retro touch, and I imagine that costume history-lovers, as well as ones who love carnevals, costume parties and other annual themed happenings (or simply wearing a retro style themselves) would like this protection from rain, sunlight, unwanted views or anything that's bothering!
