"Paeonia" by 66HUNDRED

Herakles and Pluto were at war. During their battle Herakles injured Pluto with an arrow to the shoulder.

Pluto retreated to Mount Olympus in search of Asklepios the God of Medicine. Unable to find him, Pluto is treated by Asklepios' student Paean using a beautiful flower found growing on Mount Olympus

Embarrassed at being undermined, Asklepios killed Paean.

Zeus, upon discovering the body of Paean, honoured him by turning his body into the same beautiful flower that saved Pluto's life.

From that day until the end of time that flower shall be known as “Paeonia”. Or Peonies.
