This is a beautiful and quite large antique newspaper page that has instructions and a sewing pattern for a ladies hat. Finding a page like this from this era with a pattern on it is almost unheard of and this would make a rare treat for a collector.
The black and white image on the back is equally beautiful and both would look amazing in a picture frame. The backside features an embroidery design.
It is nearly poster size measuring 24" x 18.
This page comes from a rare collection of "Woman's Section" pages buy from a Philadelphia newspaper.
Year: 1907
Condition: The main body of the illustration is quite good but the edges of the pages have wear and several small tears. Please see photos for full condition. I have repaired some tears that threatened the integrity of the page with acid-free-mending tissue. The page is stunning, but quite fragile and belongs in a picture frame or shadowbox.
This would make a great gift to the millinery-lover in your life or simply perfect framed in any room.
Please note that as the page is so large, the safest way to mail it is folded in half along the original newspaper fold line, and shipped in a USPS flat rate box.
