Bluebird house modern, PVC Cedar house, fully functional virtually maintenance free, post buy mount hanging birdhouse, weatherable birdhouse

Using the latest material technology, I designed this birdhouse to the specs of the Department of the Interior US Fish and Wildlife Services. The bluebird specs call for a 1 1/2" entrance hole located about 6" from the base. The size of the box should be 4" x 4" or 5" x 5". The box should have an area for cleaning and be able to be mounted on a fence post or in an open area.
The last photo will show how the door works for cleaning and mounting on a flat fence post.

As you can see with our box, there is no perch. That is to dissuade predators from standing on the perch and entering the box.

Our materials allow for the box to be cleaned out periodically. They also allow it to be attached to the top of a flat fence post or mounted on the face. See photo #5 for mounting details.

We expect our Bluebird House to last indefinitely as it is made from fence grade vinyl designed for outdoor construction. It has a textured variegated surface that is guaranteed not to fade. Our signature roof is made from Western Red Cedar and is finished with 2 coats of oil based paint. The double layer simulates an Old English thatched cottage profile and will not leak. The base is cellular PVC that will not crack, peel, splinter, rust, warp, or ever need painting. It is fastened to the nesting box with stainless steel screws, and hinges with a stainless pull ring. On the back is a chain that is riveted in position and will be used to hang the box from a post. There is also a plug covering a hole that can be used to screw directly to the pole or post. We incorporated a small inside "ladder" to give the birds easier access to the hole from the inside. With the smooth surface, cleaning is easy.

We have about 12 box colors to choose from and many roof colors. We are able to create custom boxes if you want a special color. Maybe you have had a PVC fence installed and you want to match or complement the fence; let us know-we are pretty flexible.
