An extremely decorative pair of early 20th century Dragon plates. They are hand-painted and finely done. The interior vibrantly painted with two writhing iron -red five-clawed dragons coiling around a flaming pearl highlighted in gold amidst Ruyi shaped clouds depicted in blue, red and yellow and iron red flames. The cloud on each plate is slightly different as they are hand painted. Two facing dragons also buy stand for a happy reunion and happy meeting. The flaming pearl is associated with wisdom, prosperity, and immortality. They are in good condition. Diameter 23cm or 9"
