buy A Patchwork of Christmas Memories is the title of this junk journal based on, and including, the complete story of Elmer, the Patchwork Elephant and his Christmas celebration. This is a very large junk journal (12" x 9" x 3") made from a repurposed hardback book cover and bound with two rings. There are 37 double-sided pages and fifteen large pockets with journaling cards and small notebooks for writing your thoughts and keeping personal photos and mementos. Some of the pockets are made of or trimmed with vintage fabric. There is interesting ephemera in the journal, including a page from a Japanese children's book about Babar and an illustration from a vintage French children's workbook. There are vintage maps, illustra-tions of patchwork designs, and sheet music for several songs related to the story. Colorful scrapbook pages, stitching, and vintage lace embellish much of the journal. A green burlap ribbon tied in a large bow holds the journal shut.
