Sun hitting the transparent colored glass is reflected onto the white background in this intricate assembly of color. More of a display piece than a functional bowl, it would look buy lovely propped on a clear acrylic easel.
Glass strips are precision cut and then cut again into squares before being assembled into this piece to be kiln fired. After the first fire it is then slumped into a mold to give it the bowl shape. It measures approximately 9 x 9”.
This bowl has a slight flaw, so I have priced it accordingly. As noted in the photos one of the squares had a silver marker on it that did not burn off in the kiln. I feel it's not that noticeable since I have to search for it every time I look at the piece.
