This beautiful hand turned crochet hook made from Exotic Marblewood. It's shaped with a larger handle to relieve stress on the hand and wrist when crocheting. The hook has an Ergonomic shape that fits nicely in the hand.

The crochet hook measures 6" to 8" long depending on the size of the hook and is 3/4" to 1" in diameter at its widest.

General guidelines are sizes

Sizes K (6.5mm) and smaller are 5 3/4" to 6" long.

Sizes L (8mm and larger are 7 3/4" to 8" long.

The reason for the variation is that each hooks is hand turned and while the standard shape, which gives the ergonomic advantage, is maintained, each hook is uniquely it's own.

Because this hook is handcrafted there will be variation in appearance, grain and color. No two Hooks will be the same! Pictures are examples of what you buy will receive.

Marblewood is an exotic hardwood with fine and evenly textured straight grain and attractive figuring of dark or black bands on a grey brown or light grey background. As a result Marblewood is considered a very distinctive, rare, and expensive wood.
The growth range of the species to grow in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands of Southeast Asia. Marblewood is variegated black and brown timber is actually part of the Ebony family of woods. Ebonies are generally thought of as black timbers. In reality some of the species have only a tiny pencil sized black zone and some of them are white, cream or yellow all through.
Marblewood is commonly referred to as Andaman Marblewood.
