A fine art reproduction of an original 16x20 acrylic painting on canvas. This reproduction buy is professionally printed on fine art watercolor paper. Why did I choose this type of paper? Watercolor paper is usually thick and the medium texture of this particular paper adds a nice touch to closer reflect the qualities of the original. Each reproduction will be signed, dated (according to month and year it was printed), and titled. This is an open edition reproduction. I would recommend getting this custom framed but if you're trying to save money, you can easily buy a mat and frame from your local frame store (I usually go to Michael's and use their on-going coupons). I would HIGHLY recommend bringing the reproduction with you when shopping, that way you won't be disappointed when you get home and realize, "hey that's not the right size!"

What inspired the original artwork?
“I wish some of my teachers remembered what they taught for. If they only remembered how much of a difference it makes in the life of one who will affect the lives of many.” I remember writing this late one night while reflecting on the experience I had as a student in high school. I thought about all of the kids that were at my school and also how many kids that each teacher has to deal with with. I'm sure it could've been overwhelming at times. Some of my teachers I got the feeling that they just gave up at a certain point and stuck to a teaching style and routine that served them, not the kids. I don't blame them. Not every teacher can be perfect or have the greatest impact on every kids' life but sometimes I wished that they would've taken a step back and reassessed the situation and themselves before falling in and ignoring what's going on. Then I remembered when I was in 5th grade, we had a new teacher. She was very willing to help. Given, this was before high school, kids' behaviors were different, and so were the teachers' desire to teach; she was very eager to be involved with each and every one of us. That made a difference in my life because if each student were to be acknowledged regularly, all the way up to high school and even through college, we'd have a lot more confidence in not just ourselves but in the information we receive as well as the ones who deliver it. An eager teacher makes an eager student. Okay, that may not always be the case but it's better than a teacher who doesn't want to have anything to do with kids, right?
