Australian Military Forces buttons, World War I (1914-18) Commemorative Cufflinks
These are a beautiful pair of cufflinks made with genuine Australian Military Forces buttons from the era of the First World War, over 100 years ago. This pair of cufflinks is made from two blackened bronze Australian Military Forces buttons, typical of those worn during the First World War and during the Gallipoli campaign of 1915 – 1916. The cufflinks are made with a swivel back with an attractive diamond pattern on the swivel. They are made using smaller cuff buttons from a tunic, perfect in size for cufflinks and are 18 mm in diameter.
They represent a unique part of First World War Australian history. The blackened bronze buttons have been carefully cleaned to bring out the highlights in bronze against buy the blackened original character of the buttons which are approximately 100 years old, whilst highlighting the beautiful details of these original buttons.
This is a truly unique gift and a chance to own a small piece of history lovingly restored and made into a beautiful pair of cufflinks. They are presented in a luxury wooden cufflink box and cardboard cover to make them the perfect present.
