DATE MADE: 1881... From Colton's General Atlas of the World printed and published in 1881 by G.W. & C.B. Colton & Co., New York. This map is 141 years old. There is an even older copyright date printed on the map: "Entered according to Act of Congress in the year 1855 by J.H. Colton & Co. in the Clerks Office of the District Court of the United States for the Southern District of New York".

DESCRIPTION: Very nice heavy paper... original handcoloring... gorgeous decorative border.

SHEET SIZE: 14 1/4" X 17 1/2"

CONDITION: Very Good condition- no tears; a few very light marks/light foxing on the outside margins, with just a couple tiny dots of foxing on map area; there is a very light damp stain on the left outside margin that goes slightly on the lower margin at corner. You won't be disappointed. A beautiful Colton map of these Maritime Provinces!
