Yes it is QUALITY of PURE BRASS to get stained / discolored , and if someone claims that Brass or Copper will not get discolored means not selling Brass to you and is FAKE product OR applying HEAVY CHEMICALS/LACQUERED on it which is completely PROHIBITED for cooking and eating utensils as with the time it gets dissolve in the Food . Getting stained/discolored is the NATURE of BRASS , we can't take this quality away from the Brass .

All it needs a proper CLEANING method and DRYING , it will remain like new. Here below are few options to clean Brass ,, you can apply them and i am sure you will be happy with this product and enjoy all useful benefits of eating in BRASS Utensil.

1. Dissolve 1 teaspoon salt in 1/2 cup vinegar and add enough flour to make a paste. Rub onto the brass and leave for 10 minutes, then rinse and buff dry.

2. Combine the juice of half a lemon with a teaspoon of baking soda and stir until it becomes a paste. Apply the paste with a soft cloth. If the tarnish is heavy, let the piece sit with the paste on it for 30 minutes. Rinse with warm water and dry.

3. Use bio enzyme as cleaning soap with scrubber and it will be shiny again
