I am offering a great preservation of Rare Grade 1865 GERMAN STATES Hesse-Darmstadt Crowned coat of arms Ludwig 3rd low mintage 6 Kreuzer Silver Coin # 265.

Hesse-Darmstadt, German Hessen-darmstadt, former landgraviate, grand duchy, and state of Germany. It was formed in 1567 in the division of old Hesse; after Hesse-Kassel was absorbed by Prussia in 1866, Hesse-Darmstadt was usually known simply as Hesse.

Date: 1865.

Value: 6 Kreuzer.

Ruler Louis III, Grand Duke of Hesse and by Rhine Ludwig III von Hessen 9 June 1806, Darmstadt – 13 June 1877) was Grand Duke of Hesse and by Rhine from 1848 until his death in 1877.

Obverse: Crowned coat of arms.
Lettering: GR.HESSISCHE SCHEIDEMÜNZE.

Reverse: 3-line insription with denomination and date within oak wreath.
Lettering: 6 KREUZER 1865.

Edge: Recessed squares

Mintage only 39.000 pieces.

Size: Diameter 2.01 mm.

Weight: 2.64 (much heavier than catalog 2.46 gr?).

Edge: row indentation.

Condition: VF+, minimal stains and scratches. Please check photos for your own grading.
