I make many rustic items with reclaimed wood from local barns and farm buildings that have outlived their usefulness. These shelves are one of my favorite project designs. The boards show considerable age with sun baked patina and saw marks. Beautiful grain patterns and knots add interest and character buy. This shelf measures about 24" wide by 5" high and projects 5 1/2" from the wall. The finish is linseed oil and turpentine. Two holes are drilled through the back for firm fastening to your wall, with screws included. Of course, it is a one of a kind, Mother Nature had a strong influence on the raw materials and design.
