Historical Cufflinks
United States coin, World War I (1918) Commemorative Cufflinks
These are a beautiful pair of cufflinks made with genuine United States one cent coins dated from 1918 during the term of President Woodrow Wilson, over 100 years ago commemorating the First World War. This pair of cufflinks are made from two solid copper one cent (wheat cent) coins showing both the obverse (Abraham Lincoln and the buy date) and reverse (“One Cent, United States of America”) of the coins. The United States remained neutral until 1917 during the First World War; but in the last two years of the war more than 4 million US military personnel served and 65,000 were killed. The cufflinks are made with a swivel back with an attractive diamond pattern on the swivel and are 20 mm in diameter.
They represent a unique part of United States and First World War history. The copper one cent coins have been highly polished to a beautiful finish highlighting the details and date of these original, more than 100 year old coins.
This is a truly unique gift and a chance to own a small piece of history lovingly restored and made into a beautiful pair of cufflinks. They are presented in a luxury wooden cufflink box and cardboard cover to make them the perfect present to mark the end of the First World War.
