3018 CNC - X Axis Upgraded buy Gantry Linear Rails

Finally! A bolt on upgrade for the 3018-PRO CNC router that reduces flex in the X axis without fundamentally altering the machine design. Ditch those floppy flexible 10mm stock linear rails and enjoy greater precision, reduced chatter and more reliable machining using our rigid oversized 12mm hardened steel linear rails. This product includes new over-sized 12mm linear rails, center tapped for stock M5 hardware, to fit the 3018-PRO CNC router. Compatibility Notes: This product has been tested to work with the NCPRO 1610, 1810 and 3018-PRO (and similar clone) desktop CNC routers, that feature LM10UU type linear bearings, installed within Nylon XZ spindle carriages. This product should work in most applications where the original LM10UU linear bearings are user serviceable and final rail lengths match (i.e. they can be pressed from their housing and replaced).

SainSmart Genmitsu 3018-PROVer Fitment Notes: Despite the rail length being 10mm shorter, our rails will indeed fit the SainSmart Genmitsu 3018-PROVer. The PROVer OEM 10mm diameter X axis linear rails nest within a pocket milled within the X gantry plates (10mm diameter x 5mm deep). Our rails will install over, not within, this pocket. X axis rails can now be properly aligned (something not previously possible on the PROVer machine) by loosening the M5 bolts near (retaining the new 12mm linear rail) near the X-axis stepper and running the XZ carriage fully toward the stepper gantry plate, then re-tightening the rail retaining bolts. Repeating this process for the opposite-side gantry plate will ensure smooth transit along the entire X-Axis.

08.07.2021 – Compatibility Notes Update: The new SainSmart Genmitsu all aluminum buy XZ spindle carriages (both silver and blue anodized units) DO NOT feature end-user serviceable bearings. Contact us prior to ordering this upgrade if you have the aluminum Genmitsu carriage, I would be happy to describe the process required to upgrade the bearing package within the SainSmart branded aluminum carriage.
