This collage on canvas board features a large silhouetted windmill against the desert terrain during a magnificent sunset. This collage was created as a demonstration for my watercolor classes. I used colored tissue papers on canvas board to create the sunset and ground and then used watercolor paints to add the mesas and buttes in the distance, the cactus, shadows and the dark windmill in the foreground. The addition of watercolor was often a surprise as it soaked into the tissue layers.
This would be a great gift for lovers of sunsets, desert vistas!

This listing is for an original collage artwork, not a print. In the closeups you can see some of the variety of layered tissues and watercolors used for this piece. The work has been coated with a clear acrylic sealer to protect the colors.

The canvas board measures 16" x 12" and can be put directly into a standard frame of that size without glass. buy
