A linen/cotton, black and white mini (1/8") checked pinner apron with a hidden pocket on each side of the skirt. The pinner bib is made wider at the top and narrow at the bottom, one of several styles of bibs worn in the 19th century. Keep your dress clean with this neat and tidy apron!
This style of apron is called a pinner because the bib is pinned in place on the front of your dress. The use of straps to hold up the bib and tie around your neck did not occur until later in the 19th century. If you would like to wear this as a 'waist' apron, just fold the bib down behind the skirt (see photo #4) - two aprons in one!
The bib part is fully lined, making it nice and sturdy. The bib is 11 1/4" wide at the top, 7 1/2" wide at the bottom and 9 buy 1/2" tall, the waist band (end to end) is 19", with 2 35" long ties. Long enough to tie in back or even cross over and tie in front, and make a good size bow. The skirt part is 31 1/2" long and 61" wide. The fabric is 100% linen/cotton blend.
100% linen/cotton fabric. Machine wash and dry.
This listing is for the apron ONLY, the dress on the mannequin is for display purposes only.
