Vintage Weiss signed marcasite gray silver red eye bird perched rare figural brooch pin gothic buy rhinestones retro mother wedding bride bridal

This unusual figural brooch is in the shape of an exotic bird, with a marcasite (pyrite) pave body and a bright red crystal eye. It is made and signed by Weiss (lack of copyright symbol dates this pin to the 1940s). The metal content is unknown, likely a silver and/or bronze alloy.

It measures approx 2.5" x 1.25" and has a dark patina all buy over, no missing stones or obvious wear. Really quite stunning!
