MCM Napcoware Scarecrow Halloween Decoration Planter buy 1960s

This delightful Halloween scarecrow planter has it's original foil label on the bottom that reads "Napcoware N - Import - Japan". It also has the original price tag that states "Yost's Card Shops - hand written $8.29". This Mid Century indoor planter shows a scarecrow standing in front of an oversized orange pumpkin. The scarecrow is wearing a black top hat. It is holding a broom. The top is olive green with "t"s in black. The collar and the cornstalk trim are all pale yellow. There are red pants along with a red patch and red cuffs. The head, of course, is a JOL that is orange with black detail. This was all hand painted. The green and red have a slight shine to them. The rest has a matt finish. This planter is just under 5-1/2" tall x 5" wide x 3-5/8" deep. It is from the Mid Century time period - the 1960s.

This planter was used. There are scuffs and age dirt to the bottom. There are a couple of buy marks on the right side that you can see in the magnified last picture. There are no chips or cracks.
