Large Ornate buy Vintage Art Nouveau Figural Maiden Oval Brooch Pin

This beautifully detailed oval brooch pin features the image of an Art Nouveau maiden executed in relief. The young woman is depicted standing on tiptoe atop a water lily, and looks back over her shoulder while reaching up to grasp a bouquet. Her body is draped with a flowing gauzy garment which trails behind her in the breeze. The girl is framed by curvilinear whiplash-style lines reminiscent of foliage along with two large rosebuds. The details are sharp and clear and the overall visual effect of the piece is quite striking.

The brooch pin is in excellent condition with no dents or missing material and has a wonderful warm patina. The statement piece is large, measuring 2.75" long and just under 2" wide. The back of the piece is fitted with a fully functional c-pin closure to fasten it securely to a scarf, coat or blouse. The brooch pin is unmarked so the maker is unknown.

This ornate brooch pin would make a fantastic addition to a collection of vintage jewelry, particularly for those who focus on Art Nouveau items. A lovely find!
