Antique English Silver Plated Coffee Pot, Harrods EPNS A1 Silver Plate Hallmark, Art Deco / Arts and Crafts Style, Oliver & Bower Silver, 5.5" x 3.25"

This charming coffee or hot water pot was manufactured by Oliver and Bower Silversmiths of Sheffield and Hatton Garden London for Harrods Department Store, London SW1.

The number of the piece is 582 which would be relatively early in the silversmiths 62 year history.

The silver plate is A1 quality and free from tarnish. It buffs up to a beautiful shine with a gentle rub using a specialist silver cloth.

The two tone rattan of the handle remains wrapped firmly and securely in place to prevent transfer of heat.

This lovely piece has been used in its lifetime as there are signs of water marks and some tarnish inside the base of the pot. Otherwise the exterior really is in excellent order throughout.

The pot has been styled in a typical Art Deco shape with the skilful additional of an Arts and Crafts style rattan handle and a flip top lid in perfect working order.

The jug measures 5.5" high x 3.25" wide excluding the handle, 5.5" at its widest point from handle to spout.

The pot may just as easily be used for tea if desired.

Comfortably holds 3/4 pint of liquid as is indicated by the hallmark on its base (see photo 2)

The pot weighs 420g before any packaging therefore shipping costs are based on a small parcel weighing 750g.
