This small pottery vase was made by Jemez Pueblo potter Juanita Yepa in the 1970s. It is signed on the bottom "J.ita Yepa Jemez."
It is 2.5" high and 3" in diameter and is in very good condition with no cracks or chips. There is a scratch toward the top of one side just below the rim (shown in last photo detail). See all of our photos.
The Pueblo of Jemez is a federally recognized tribe located in north-central New Mexico, approximately 50 miles northwest of Albuquerque.
Juanita is one of several Yepa potters among the many families known for buy the pottery in Jemez.
