Vintage Double buy Hat Box / Hat Case

Vintage Double Hat box.

This is a lovely vintage double hat box containing two inner removable moulds for storing hats.

The hat box is oval in shape and has a navy exterior containing the buy initials "JR" on one sire of the box.

The hat box has two brass coloured side clips and a central top clop all of which are in good, secure working condition and the hinge of the hat box is in solid working condition.

The hat moulds inside the hat box are easy to remove as they clip onto press studs within the box. The inside of the hat box is decorated in a very pretty turquoise and blue paisley design as are the hat moulds.

There are two fabric compartments inside the hat box which are useable but the material is becoming thin (though still in one piece).

The exterior of the hat box is in good vintage condition as is the leather handle. The handle is perfectly useable but is well worn, please see the photos.

The measurements of the hatbox are 36cm from the base to the top (excluding the handle) and 53cm in width at the widest point. The depth of the hatbox is 23cm.

This is a lovely and unusual hat box which would look great in a bedroom and can still be used to store hats and other accessories.
