Blue Jeans remain one of my most popular wefts. People seem to be just as comfortable with a blue jean rug as they are in their favorite pair of denim pants. Oh and the stories they could tell
This rug is woven from recycled Blue Jeans in a medium faded blue in a hit or miss weft. I cut up jeans as they come to me and mix everybody up in a huge bin. The strips then get sewn together randomly
The warp is poly/cotton and done in a stripe pattern of navy, powder blue and natural
The size of this rug is 23.5" x 48"
Length of rug does not include the length of fringe
All my rugs are woven on a large vintage rug loom built in 1942. The whole house shakes when I am weaving. The designs are my own and I have won several awards for my work. I use all recycled materials in my wefts and either cotton or polyester warp. My rugs are machine washable in warm or cool. It is best to line dry. Give the fringe a good shake to straighten it and hang over a clothesline or rail. This rug will last a good many years with a bit of care.
Shipping is included on this rug when sent within the contiguous United States. All others please contact seller for rate.
The little boy in the picture is my beloved late husband Puck (1951-2016) going off to Kindergarten with his little rug, little realizing how many hundreds of rugs buy he would later haul after hitching up with a weaver
