This is an antique silver vanity set or Etui. The set comprises 5 silver handled tools - a nail file, tweezers, button hook and 2 cuticle tools and a steel darning needle . The silver handles are hallmarked and assayed in Chester 1910 and 1911. The handles are sterling silver but the tool ends are buy steel for strength.
The case is black scrim with burgundy silk. One of the handles has been pierced, there is surface corrosion and damage to the edge of the silk.
