Made in the studio of Jim Saunders .Jim is an old veteran silver smith from the 1970's turquoise jewelry boom in Albuquerque. He builds all his jewelry using his knowledge of 40 plus years making jewelry and his 40 plus year on going collection of old metal tools. He loves old anvils and old stamps and old hammers. Retooling and re-shaping them for his unique use and style.
This bracelet shows Jim's advancement in stamp designs.. having built over 1000 stamps in recent years has taught him direct use of the stamp as well as improving old designs to create his unique look in stamp design and stamp design use and technique.

This piece is hand made in Jim's studio from silver sheet and wire and ingot silver, Jim forms and forges by hand to get into the shape you see. Being as each piece is totally hand made and formed.. they are not perfect as machine made is, each has its own unique character. Jim also cuts his own stones from rough attained all over the world as well as stone from his very own mines.

I have cut stones from this deposit for most of my 45 plus years cutting turquoise and making jewelry.
