Inspired by the semiotic decadence of the Art Deco style which originated in France in the 1910s and dominated the decorative arts in Western Europe and the United States until the mid 1930s, these white flower earrings with crystals contain very old and extremely collectible original vintage Czech glass elements - to the point where most designer's would only use one or two of these in any given piece because of their cost, quality and rarity.

Starting at the top of each earring is a super high quality gold plated lever back finding from Israel with prong setting. Placed inside is a very beautiful original vintage Czech satin glass cabochon with deep pink rose bud and four green leaves. Dangling from this is piece of white rectangular crystal agate, with vintage style crown shaped gold tone filigree bails wrapped at the top and bottom. And last but not least, at the bottom, are two original vintage Czech leaf shaped bead caps either side of an absolutely gorgeous white satin glass drop with a clear outer layer over deep pink roses and leaves.

All of the metal elements on these earrings have also been finished with special varnish and super pristine matte gold patina to emulate the look of ‘Russian gold'. Interestingly, manufacturers in the 1930s used tin solder; a material which contains nickel that some people are allergic to. Inspired by the creations of 1930s jewellery designer Miriam Haskell, they have been protected with a special varnish. Originally with about 90 years worth of natural patina, we have undergone to great lengths to ensure the very aesthetically pleasing antique-looking finish. This makes them more hypoallergenic and also means that they won't stain your skin or clothes!
