The wood pictured is always the wood you will receive! SHIPPING: My max shipping rate for any number of spindle blanks regardless of length that you order is $10. For any number of bowl blanks the max rate is $15. Boards over 24" in length will ship at the actual cost Etsy displays. Please pay the shipping calculated in the shopping cart and I will send a prompt refund for the difference when I print your label. I never charge more than the actual shipping rate. This listing is for a Desert Ironwood 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" x 12" turning blank. This dried blank is coated with a clear sealer. This blank has been slowly air-dried and is stored at ~45% relative humidity. This dense species will be susceptible to changes in RH and should be slowly acclimated to your shop dependant on your environment. This can be done by sanding off the clear coat and placing the blank in a brown paper bag and rolling it up. Monitor weight intermittently with a gram scale until fully acclimated.
Recommended for advanced turners / woodworkers.
