Adorable Vintage Enesco Dutch Treat buy Small Girl & Boy Children's Teapot Blue Accent Holland Hats Blue Vests White Apron Blond #E-5822

Aren't they the cutest?!!! This teapot is a smaller version, but not a miniature size. It will probably hold a cup of water or so. This round pot, with it's simple appeal, features a little Dutch girl as the finial and a little Dutch boy as the handle. So cleaver!! She wears the traditional Holland head gear which has a single blue stripe from point to point. The short, puffed sleeved bodice of her dress is covered with a dark blue vest. Her little white collar lays nicely over the vest under her chin. Her arms are crossed as if she is quite content. After all, she is nice and cozy warm with the hot water for your tea! The embossed waist bow lays atop the cover behind her. The cover to the teapot begins to slope downward with the skirt of the girl's dress, so it blends well with the rest of the pot as it rounds and goes back toward the base. Nearly three quarters of the way down the pot, a scallopy embossed line shows the edge of the girl's apron. Above this is another scallopy blue stripe line with pretty blue rose buds and dashes above the stripe. This brings us to the long, slim handle featuring a boy holding to the top of the teapot, his derrière held straight out behind him, with his legs and feet jutting back toward the bottom of the teapot. He looks like a little gymnast with this straight lines and poise. He, too, wears a simple white shirt and pants with a dark blue vest. On top of his blond head, he wears a dark blue tam. It is the faces of the these two children that one is drawn to. Very nicely blushed cheeks grace their youthful faces, with black lined blue eyes, blond eyebrows, tiny noses and heart-shaped lips. Who buy can resist such cuteness? The bottom of the pot is marked in green in with, "E-5822". A perfect size for a young girl's REAL tea party.

I have seen the creamer and sugar bowl to this set. Whether or not there were cups and saucers, as well, I do not know.

Chip on boy's hat near back (see photos). The spout has tiny flea bites (see photos). Overall small chips typical children's pieces. Good color and gloss finish.
