Chunky Live Edge buy Floating Shelf - Custom Orders

All shelves are made to order in your desired depth, length and wood species. Depth will vary a bit since it is a live edge. Each shelf is unique.
The shelves are cut to size, bark is removed and natural edge is exposed. Our big, chunky version shelves will be approximately 2" thick. Every piece of wood is different and some will finish out slightly less than 2". We do custom lengths and depths, we do not customize the thickness.

A small groove 1/4" wide x 1/16" deep can be added that will catch the edge of a picture frame and prevent it from sliding off the shelf.

All of our products are finished with two coats of 100% pure Linseed Oil with zero VOC (volatile organic compounds.) and a final wax coat. These time tested finishes are safer and easier to repair than their modern day chemical competitors.

You have two options for mounting your shelf Ito the wall.

Screws: Attach the shelf to your wall with self taping screws (supplied) into the predrilled holes underneath the shelf. Can support approximately 25 lbs. per wall stud if property installed.

Metal Bracket: A metal bracket is supplied and that is attached to the wall with screws (supplied) and the shelf is slid onto the metal bracket. Can support approximately 35 lbs. per wall stud if properly installed.

Message me at checkout your desired wood species and if you want buy the small grove option to prevent pictures from sliding off the shelf.

After receiving your order we will message you a shelf placement PDF that gives detailed information on how to provide us the screw hole spacing for your shelf for shelves longer than 24". For shelves 24" or less long we will space two mounting holes and provide toggle bolts for mounting unless you message us otherwise.
