Honda buy CT90 Helmet Lock

This helmet lock is designed to exactly fit on a 1971 Honda CT90 trail bike's luggage rack. It also should fit any other CT90 that has buy the same luggage rack configuration as shown in the photos. Each one of the rear rails is 16mm in diameter and the gap between them is exactly 71 mm so if your rack has these dimensions, it will fit.

This helmet lock is manufactured using 3D printing technology so the finished product will have layer lines as a result. This product is manufactured using PLA plastic, which is manufactured from corn instead of from petroleum. It is a very durable plastic and I specialize in using it. NOTE: There is now a second option of printing out this lock in PETG plastic, which is a bit more shiny and slightly more heat resistant. Available in black only for now. When ordering, please state in the purchase notes that you desire the PETG version.

This kit includes the lock, the housing and all mounting hardware. To determine whether this helmet lock will fit on your Honda CT90, you will need to check the diameter of the rear rails of your luggage rack. Installation will require a 3/16" hex key wrench (not included).

This adapter is shown in black, but can also be made from either yellow, red, blue or orange plastic. Manufacturing this lock attachment in custom colors is very doable on my end. Just send me a note requesting what color you would like and we could go from there. No extra charge for custom colors, but it might take additional time to obtain the filament you might desire.

All mounting hardware is stainless steel. The default installation will allow you to remove it if you would like. For a more permanent installation, you just wipe off the anti-seize compound off of the mounting screws and they should lock up really well afterwards and that will really thwart removal. I actually attempted it and had to destroy the unit in order to remove it from my CT90.

At the core of this helmet lock attachment is the Master Lock type 22 hasp lock, which is very durable, and should provide good protection from picking. Picking this lock can be done, but it takes significant time to do. I make no claims as to how well it will resist the thieves though.

The printed components are printed at 100% fill, which means that they are very durable and should last quite a while.
