A lovely vintage lidded bowl or covered casserole. This is yellow ware in the rarer pumpkin color. The bowl is 5 3/4 inches tall to the top of the lid, it is 3 14 inches tall to the top of the open bowl; the bowl is 8 3/8 inches in diameter. It is impressed on the bottom "8 Oven Ware Made in USA." There are slubs and tiny holes in the clay which are typical of this vintage glazed yellow ware when it was fired. There is crazing on the inside. There is one crack that runs around the inside of the bowl but you cannot see it from the outside. There is another crack on the bottom of the bowl that you can also see from the outside, although not as much. buy This would be best as a bowl for display, and for that it is gorgeous.
