Buy Handpainted Lacquered Russian Troika Box

Handpainted Lacquered Russian Troika Box. This beautiful box would make a great gift. I believe it is made of papier-mache decorated with a buy city sledding scene. The background of the box is shiny black lacquer and the painting, done in array of colors with gold accents, depicts two sleighs each carrying three people and pulled by three, spirited horses over a bed of swirling snow. In the background rises a city of fancy turrets and towers. The picture is framed in delicate gold curlicue patterns around the central oval and also on the scalloped edges. More gold design is painted on the sides. The inside of the hinged box is bright red lacquer. The signature, "K.H." or "R.H." appears in the bottom right and I believe the word, "Troika," is at the bottom center.
