Ocean Jasper Necklace Large Speckled buy Sea Green and White Slab Beads w Ethiopian Silver and Carved New Jade and MOP Leaves Gemstone Jewelry

Ocean jasper was one of the first stones I fell for when I started making jewelry. I thought the name was perfect, as the colors and patterns really do look like the ocean. These large (46mm) organic slabs in sea green and white are especially lovely, like sea foam swirling through the water after a wave has broken. It's become harder to find this stone, and especially of buy this quality, so I couldn't resist these.

The slabs are smooth and polished but not overly glossy, with occasional sparkles from spots of druzy. They are roughly oval in shape, and about 1/4" thick so the necklace has some heft, but is still very comfortable to wear (about 5 ounces).

Snow white mother-of-pearl leaves and small Ethiopian silver heishi serve as spacers and accent beads, with a few translucent pale green serpentine leaves at the ends of the necklace. It is 18" long and closes with an antique silver plated lobster clasp.
