No.18780 – This lovely porcelain plate is amazing!
It was produced by the Erdmann Schlegelmilch (E.S) factory, founded in 1861 in Germany. The factory closed in 1935.
Part transfer and part hand-painted on a soft yellow background, the center is decorated with a couple of magnificent exotic birds perched on flowering branches. The border has beautiful stencilled green leaves and orange and blue flowers. Highly detailed and with its bright colours, this plate is sure to please the discerning collector of fine porcelain. Perfect to hang on a wall or decorate a shelf!
It measured 8 3/8 inches in diameter and is in very good condition. There are no chips, no cracks and no crazing. There is a bit of black paint missing around the edge.
It is stamped buy with the green factory logo.
