♥The Greenman Gift Set:
The Green Man is believed to symbolize the cycle of life, death and re-birth. The symbol of Godhood within the male and its relationship with the transcendent life force our Goddess, the female expression of divinity. He is a Pagan symbol who heralds Spring after a long winter and the renewal of lush vegetation.

These Cheese Plates are a one of a kind design created by a process known as "slumping" glass wine bottles. The process involves laying the bottles in a kiln and then heating them until they flatten, and "annealing", which is a process that strengthens the glass against breakage. It is better not placed in a dishwasher, but hand washed, like all fine glassware.

We adorn Each Slumped Glass Cheese Plate with an Intricately Created Glass Pendant. Created with the Fused Glass, Millefiori, and Pate De Verre Glass Techniques! We hand painted enamel overlay details on the faces.

Fused Glass is the process involving laying up glass in a mold and then fusing the object in a kiln, and “annealing”.

Pâte de verre is another form of kiln casting and literally translated means glass paste. In this process, finely crushed glass is mixed with a binding material, such as a mixture of gum arabic and water, and often with colourants and enamels. The resultant paste is applied to the inner surface of a negative mold forming a coating. After the coated mold is fired at the appropriate temperature the glass is fused creating a hollow object that can have thick or thin walls depending on the thickness of the pate de verre layers.

Millefiori is a glasswork technique which produces distinctive decorative patterns on glassware.
The term millefiori is a combination of the Italian words "mille" (thousand) and "fiori" (flowers). Millefiori s now most frequently associated with Venetian glassware. More recently, the millefiori technique has been applied to polymer clay and other materials. Because polymer clay is quite pliable and does not need to be heated and reheated to fuse it, it is a much easier medium in which to produce millefiori patterns than glass.
