Quistgaard RUNE. Four vintage Egg Cups IHQ Danish design. Scandinavian modern. Mid Mod tableware Denmark. 4 egg cups Designed by Jens Harald Quistgaard im the early 60s. They have a beautiful Grey, mustard color. "Runes" are the letters in a set of related alphabets known as runic alphabets used by the Vikings.
Marked with Bing & Grondahl stamp on the bottom.
Jens Harald Quistgaard (1919-2008) was one of the key influencers and designers of Danish Design. Jens designed a very large number of everyday objects in the mid - 19th century. Many of his designs are now classics.
