Vintage 1940s buy to 1950s Sterling Silver The Red boy after Thomas Lawrence painting large circle brooch. English. Size 4.4cm diameter. Weight 12.2g. A tiny copy of a famous 1825 painting. In good condition and marked Made in England Sterling Silver Rhodium plated, pin, hinge and clasp work well.
In good condition. Hard to get a good photo as it is so reflective get white light patches and shadows. So looks better in real life than in photos. However it is quite a dark painting.
The red boy so called is actually a portrait of Charles William Lambton painted in 1825.
