Product code: Vintage faux pearl thermoset plastic, metal LARGE cuff bracelet buy //50's//mid-century cocktail bracelet//Brutalist cocktail cuff//abstract cuff

It is a great example of a large format mid-century cocktail cuff bracelet. It measures 7.5 inches which is an average size for a woman's wrist. Each 1.25 x 1.25 inch open work, cast link is hinged to the next. The 7/8 inch, dappled faux pearl stones are held in the component by open work, silver to gold tone textured plates with great detail and four tiny faux pearl accents. These are made from an early thermoset plastic. The color of the metal is really between an antiqued gold and tarnished silver. It closes with its original fold over box clasp and still functions well. The end of the bracelet where the clasp folds into has yet another sweet faux pearl detail. Since the links are thick, it has a nice weight to it.

This style of accessory was usually worn at fancy cocktail parties, which were very popular at the time. Sometimes, these over the top pieces were known as, " cocktail " jewelry. There are no makers marks.

NecromanceNola sells this type of vintage bracelet often since it was well made, usually plated multiple times and had unique design. The silver/gold tone plating is still in good condition, showing only minor signs of wear. The four large links are a unique shape and have a nice weight to them. The hinges are still lose and functional. The box clasp is original to the cuff.

This piece of jewelry is sent in a bubble pack envelope via US postal service, first buy class mail with insurance, free in the US.
